Grandparents of this documentary’s creator were Ottoman Greeks and were born in the Turkish city of Smyrna, known today as Izmir. Following their footsteps, Stamelos visited Turkish land of Anatolia, his family’s place of origin. How did a Greek find Turkey, considering these countries’ animosity towards one another which has been commonly known? We will talk about it with the director, after the screening of the film.
