Curt Sobel is best known in Hollywood as a top Supervising Music Editor, as well as a composer, music supervisor and producer. His extensive editing work includes "Risky Business", An Officer and an Gentelman, "Ray", "The Bourne Ultimatum" "Get On Up", and "Fantastic Four". As an accomplished composer he has provided scores for "Alien Nation", "A Cool, Dry Place", The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles-Transylvania", and "Cast A Deadly Spell" for which he won an Emmy for Best Song and Cable Ace Award nomination for Best Score. Highlights of his career include working with artists Prince, Donald Fagen, Ray Charles, Keith Richards, Mick Jagger, Jamie Foxx, Santana, Cher, Bette Midler, Los Lobos and the Blue Man Group; composers Dave Grusin, Tom Newman, Danny Elfman, Bruce Broughton, James Newton Howard and Marco Beltrami, as well as esteemed director/producers Francis Ford Coppola, George Lucas, Robert DeNiro, Jodie Foster, Taylor Hackford, Barry Levinson, Frank Darabont, Michael Mann, Ivan Reitman, Jason Reitman, Marc Forster and Rob Marshall.Curt serves on the Executive Music Branch Board of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He was honored with a Distinguished Alumni Award from Berklee College of Music and his work on RAY was recognized with a Broadcast Film Critics Award. Additionally, he has garnered two Motion Picture Sound Awards for Best Music Editing on a Feature Musical for "Ray" and "Get On Up".
