Heike Bachelier studied philosophy and worked as a live television director before working asa producer in a German film production company. She trained in international producing and script writing and then turned to directing, making films with partner Andy Heathcote under their own company Trufflepig Films. First \"The Lost World of Mr. Hardy\" in 2008, and next \"The Moo Man\", which premiered in competition at Sundance 2013. Heikeʼs German debut feature film \"Feindberührung\" (Enemy Engagement) won the Prix Europa 2011 for best feature documentary. In 2012 her first book \"Ein ganz normaler Feind\" was published in Germany by Droemer.
