Film director, photographer and traveler. He graduated from the directing course of the Krzysztof Kieślowski Faculty of Radio and Television, he is also a graduate of the Wajda School. He has made documentaries in Siberia (7109 km), Cuba (My Father Lazaro), Serbia (Coffee & Cigarettes) and in Poland (Trampkarze). and photographs in Mongolia, Nepal and the USA, among others. He has been repeatedly awarded for his school short films and documentaries. He is a lover of feature films and high mountains. In his free time, he packs up his backpack, takes his red down sleeping bag and sets out on a journey. Marcin Filipowicz has received the scholarships of The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, President of Kraków City, Telewizja Polska (Polish Television) and Polish Filmmakers Association.
