Film and theater director, screenwriter, set designer, graphic designer, television producer, co-owner of the production company Krakatau. For many years he has been a lecturer at the Lodz Film School, and since 2012 its rector. His school films "Krakatoa" and "Robak" gained recognition winning top prizes at major festivals of short films. In 1993 he made his debut feature film “Rozmowa z człowiekiem z szafy”, [The conversation with the man from the closet]. It was invited to take part in the main competition of the International Venice Film Festival and received the prize for the best debut there. In 1999 he made "Królowa aniołów” [Queen of Angels], and in 2009 the broadly discussed film "Jestem twój” [I am yours]. The premiere of his latest feature film entitled " Śpiewający obrusik “ [The Singing Tablecloth] is planned for autumn 2015. He is the author of musical films devoted to outstanding figures of contemporary music, such as Arvo Part, Meredith Monk, Giya Kancheli, or Paweł Szymański, as well as music videos, among others of the band Manaam. For many years he has focused on theater work including at the Teatr im. Stefan Jaracz Theatre in Lodz, Teatr Powszechny and Teatr Studio in Warsaw, the National Stary Theatre in Krakow and graduates’ performances of the Acting Department of PWSFTviT. Together with the psychotherapist Wojciech Eichelberger he has made respected and recognized TV series “Okna” and  “Nocny stróż” which focus on the problems of the human spirit. One of his passions is computer graphics and designing. He is the author of many posters and visual composition of concerts at home and abroad.
