Ray Costa is the founder and president of Costa Communications, a leading entertainment public relations firm in Hollywood. Formerly an award-winning broadcast journalist, he brings his experience to every project with his ability to find entertaining and newsworthy angles to pique the interest of reporters, editors and producers. Ray Costa is a member of ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC, and is on the advisory board of The Hollywood Reporter/Billboard Film and TV Music Conference, the World Soundtrack Awards, the International Film Music Critics Association, the Transatlantyk Film and Music Festival, Fimucité, and the Hollywood Music in Media Awards. Costa Communications’ clients have been featured in virtually every major television, print, and online outlet.Costa Communications has been hired directly for awards campaigns with virtually every studio including Sony, The Weinstein Company, Dreamworks, Fox, Universal, IFC, and Warner Brothers. Costa Communications’ award campaigns have successfully yielded nominations and wins for Oscars®, Golden Globes, Grammys, Tonys, Emmys, BAFTAs and other prestigious accolades.

Over the years, Ray Costa along with Costa Communications has represented such high profile composers ranging from multi-award winners Alan Menken and Marvin Hamlisch, to contemporary composers Alexandre Desplat, Atticus Ross, and Steven Price, and new discoveries including Junkie XL, Antonio Sanchez, Jóhann Jóhannsson and Alex Ebert. Costa Communications has also represented the songwriters behind such hits as One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful,” Nikki Minaj’s “Starships,” Sara Bareilles’ “Love Song,” and the Oscar® nominated song “Lost Stars” performed by Adam Levine for Begin Again and “Til it Happens To You” by Diane Warren and Lady Gaga.

Corporate campaigns have included Electronic Arts (EA), Domino’s Pizza, Petersen Publishing, the Japanese External Trade Organization, Icelandic Music Commission, Louisiana Entertainment Development, numerous record labels including Varèse Sarabande, Milan, Lakeshore, La-La Land, and GNP Crescendo.
