Wojciech Orliński

Polish journalist, writer, publicist, columnist and trade union activist. Since 1997 he has worked for the “Gazeta Wyborcza” daily, writing mainly about the mass culture. Orliński studied Chemistry at the Warsaw University. He worked for “Sztandar Młodych”, Bulletin of The Polish Academy of Sciences and “Wiadomości Kulturalne” and was one of the founders of the “Lewą Nogą” magazine. His works were also published in “Krytyka Polityczna”. In 2005 he won a scholarship of the Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna. Wojciech Orliński is also the author of the following books: “Co to są sepulki? Wszystko o Lemie” published in 2007, “Ameryka nie istnieje, czyli relacja z podróży po Stanach Zjednoczonych śladami popkultury” (2010) and its continuation “Route 66 nie istnieje” as well as short science fiction novels published in the “Nowa Fantastyka” magazine. Since August 2006, he has been writing a blog called “Ekskursje w dyskursie”. Orliński is the head of the Agora S.A. trade union operating since December 2011 as part of the Solidarność Independent and Self-governing Trade Union.
