Transatlantyk Introduction: "Louder than bombs"!

The 6th edition of PGNiG Transatlantyk Festival is going to take place from 23rd to 30th June in Łódź. Before that, during the Transatlantyk Introduction, the audience have a chance to watch the most interesting films of this years. After the presentation of the Oscar-nominee movie “Carol”, Transatlantyk Festival shows another exciting title. “Louder than bombs” dir. Joachim Trier will be screened on 10 March in Helios Sukcesja cinema. 
Joachim Trier is one of the greatest danish directors and the author of such a marvelous movies as “Reprise” or “Oslo, 31 August”. “Louder than bombs” is his first movie with the international and well – recognized cast. On the screen, we meet the star of “Social Network” – Jessie Eisneberg, the outstanding French actress Isabelle Huppert (“The Piano Teacher”) and the great American film and theatre actor David Stratharin (“Good Night and Good Luck”).

The main motive of “Louder than bombs” is family breakdown and its consequences. Isabelle Reed, the phenomenal war photographer, dies in a car accident. She leaves her children who cannot recover from the loss of their beloved mother. During the organization of the photo retrospective of her work the true about the cause of her death comes to the light and now the sons need to face the problem.

The screening of “Louder than bombs” movie takes place in Helios Sukcesja cinema Łódż (Al. Politechniki 1) on 10 March at 7:45 pm. Tickets (16 PLN) are available in box offices from 3rd March and on the screening day.

“Louder than bombs” presentation is the second event of Transatlantyk Introduction cycle which will last for the whole spring to announce PGNiG Transatlantyk Introducion before its first Łódź edition (from 23 to 30 June 2016).
